Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18 years and older who attended health check-up clinics at Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital between January 2021 and December 2023 2. Availability of complete fasting lipid panel (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL-C, and directly measured LDL-C) from the same venous blood sample

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Missing or incomplete lipid profile data 2. Implausible physiologic values (e.g., systolic blood pressure <80 or >180 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure <50 or >100 mmHg, height <140 cm or >195 cm, weight <35 kg or >150 kg, total cholesterol <100 or >400 mg/dL, triglycerides <50 or >1000 mg/dL, HDL-C <15 or >150 mg/dL) 3. Duplicate or non-fasting samples if identified

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Accuracy of Thai-specific LDL-C estimation equation at baseline (single fasting blood sample from health check-up) Correlation coefficient (r), coefficient of determination, and mean bias compared with directly measured LDL-C

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Agreement of LDL-C estimation across triglyceride levels at baseline Bland Altman plots, mean bias, and limits of agreement within triglyceride strata,External validation in non-Asian subgroup at baseline Correlation coefficient (r), coefficient of determination, and mean bias compared with directly measured LDL-C in non-Asian participants
