Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 65 years or older, or age between 45 and 64 years with cardiovascular risk factors or established cardiovascular disease 2. Diagnosed with hip fracture and underwent hip fracture surgery
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a prior diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome, acute or chronic heart failure, atrial fibrillation, or atrial flutter within one month before surgery 2. Patients with other identifiable causes of elevated hs-cTnI or NT-proBNP, such as pericarditis, endocarditis, myocarditis, acute or chronic renal failure, or exposure to cardiotoxic agents
