Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 18-60 years old 2. Diagnosed with Metacarpal shaft fracture with the indication for operative treatment (Table 1) 3. Injury onset less than one week 4. Close fracture (exclude open fractures)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Open Fractures; injuries with external wound exposing the fracture site. 2. Injury onset more than one week 3. Patient with associated injury that prevents the patient from early hand rehabilitation postoperatively such as injury to the hand tendons, traumatic brain injury, etc. 4. Patient who denied operative treatment with consent
