18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Adults aged 18 - 80 years 2) Undergoing elective or emergency surgery requiring peripheral IV cannulation prior to anesthesia induction

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Known vascular anomaly or thrombosis at the intended cannulation site 2) Coagulopathy or ongoing anticoagulant therapy 3) Local infection or trauma at the cannulation site 4) A documented history of difficult IV access, IV drug use, or chemotherapy 5) BMI < 18 or > 30 kg/m2 6) Uncooperative or cognitively impaired patients

Time to successful cannulation From initial skin puncture to complete catheter advancement into the vein. Determined by blinded independent observer reviewing video recordings. Duration in seconds through video recording of the procedure assessment
