Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: SBP >180 mmHg and/or DBP >110 mmHg
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. pregnancy 2. allergy or absolute contraindication to the antihypertensive regimens used 3. acute trauma 4. presence of HMOD after focused assessment 5. elevated BP due to pain, drug abuse, or psychiatric conditions 5. patients who were not managed according to the Lampang Hospital ED protocol
