Interventions

A skin incision is made along the transverse carpal crease, ulnar to the palmaris longus.,The skin incision for this procedure is made on the thenar crease.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Carpal tunnel syndrome which has failed conservative treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. double crush syndrome 2. prior carpal tunnel release 3. Loss to follow-up before study completion
