Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed for melasma , symmetrical 2. Female, aged from 20-60 years old 3. Fitzpatrick skin type III-V 4. Duration of disease more than 1 year
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Treatment with topical or systemic vitamin A and/or topical HQ in the past 3 months Chemical or microdermabrasion within the last 6 months Use of topical or systemic Alpha Hydroxyl Acid (AHA) products on the face in the last 1 month History of herpes simplex on the face History of poor wound healing or abnormal scarring Inevitable intense sun exposure Pregnant or lactating Having active inflammatory disease, infection or open wound at the treatment area History of premalignant or malignant lesion at the treatment site Undergoing hormonal therapy On oral tranquillizer or photosensitizing drugs Patients with psychiatric disorder Other causes of hyperpigmentation
