Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (Safety part) 1) Healthy male and female volunteers of all skin types with an age range of 18-60 years old 2) Free of any wound, scar, or visible skin disease on the lower forearm area 3) Willing to participate in the study after being informed on objective, methodology, possible risks, and effects of the study 4) Be able to read, communicate, and write in Thai and willing to sign consent of the volunteer (Efficacy part) 1) Healthy male and female volunteers aged between 18-60 years. 2) No wounds, scars, or open lesions on the scalp. 3) Diagnosed with dandruff (as assessed by a dermatologist and having a total dandruff score grater than or equal 2) 3) Willing to continue using the same brand of hair care products throughout the study without changing the type or brand (Hair care products refer to shampoo, conditioner, and hair serum that do not have anti-dandruff or antifungal properties). 4) Willing to avoid activities that could affect the hair, such as hair dyeing, straightening, or perming. 5) Able to read, communicate, and write in Thai and willing to participate in the study after being fully informed of the objectives, methods, risks, and potential benefits, and having signed the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (Safety part) 1) History of sensitive skin or hyperallergic reactions. 2) History of allergy to any components of the test product, such as Garcinia or Garcinia extracts. 3) History of inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis on any part of the body within the past 6 months. 4) History of using steroid medications, antibiotics, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) within 2 weeks prior to enrollment in the study. 5) History of using topical medications such as tretinoin, benzoyl peroxide, corticosteroids, hydroquinone, or other substances that increase photosensitivity on the inner forearm within 2 weeks before participating in the study. 6) Having underlying diseases that require continuous topical medication on the arms. 7) History of major surgery within the past year. 8) History of skin cancer in any part of the body within the past year. 9) Currently pregnant or breastfeeding. 10) History of regular smoking or alcohol consumption. (Efficacy part) 1) History of sensitive skin or hyperallergic reactions. 2) History of allergy to hair tonics or hair/scalp treatment products. 3) History of allergy to any components of the test product, such as Garcinia or Garcinia extracts. 4) Presence of scalp skin diseases or infections during the study period. 5) History of treatment for dandruff or scalp fungal infections, including the use of oral or topical antifungal/anti-dandruff agents, within the past month. 6) History of continuous use of steroid creams or topical antibiotics on the scalp within the past month. 7) History of taking dietary supplements with anti-inflammatory or anti-dandruff properties. 8) Having underlying diseases that require antifungal medications or topical treatments on the scalp. 9) History of chemotherapy or radiation therapy within the past year. 10) History of major surgery within the past year. 11) History of any type of skin cancer within the past year. 12) Currently pregnant or breastfeeding. 13) Currently participating in another clinical trial involving oral or topical products on the scalp, or having completed such a trial within the past two weeks. 14) History of regular smoking or alcohol consumption.
