Conditions

This study employs the action research approach developed by Stephen Kemmis, Wilf Carr, and Robin (1982), which consists of four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting on the actions. After completing each cycle, the plan is reviewed and revised (replanning) for implementation in the next cycle. This process continues until the objectives of the practice are successfully achieved. Interventions

The researcher employed an evidence-based approach using the conceptual framework of Soukup (2000) to develop nursing practice guidelines. This framework consists of four development phases: Phase 1:

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Nurses: 1. Registered nurses with at least 1 year of experience working in the hemodialysis unit. 2. Have completed specialized training in the course of renal replacement therapy, or a hemodialysis nursing course, or hold a certification as a hemodialysis nursing specialist. Hemodialysis patients: 1. Patients receiving chronic hemodialysis treatment for more than 6 months, aged 20 years and older.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Registered nurses in managerial positions who do not perform clinical duties in the hemodialysis unit. 2. Patients undergoing hemodialysis who have severe complications unrelated to cardiac arrest. Patients who died during the follow-up period.
