Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Greater than or equal to 18 years old AND (2) Documented cardiac arrest in the ED defined by as the absence of cardiac mechanical activity, confirmed by a lack of clinical evidence of circulation AND (3) Attempted resuscitation by ED personnel, defined as external shock delivery or chest compressions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Unable to administer epinephrine within 2 minutes after cardiac arrest (2) Known pregnancy (3) Known prisoners (4) Previous enrollment into the EPINEP trial (5) Non-Thai and non-English speaking (6) Had a Do-Not-Attempt-Resuscitation (DNAR) order
