Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were: patients diagnosed with DDwoR, DJD with a minimum age of 18 years. Inclusion criteria also included that the patients failed a previous conservative (medical) treatment and did not receive any previous arthrocentesis or arthroscopic attempts.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included: patients with any systemic condition that affects healing, such as diabetes mellitus, malignancies, blood dyscrasias, immune diseases, previous or concurrent radiotherapy or chemotherapy, smoking, etc.
