Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Distal femoral fracture AO classification 33A3,33C1-3 2.Age 15-70 years old 3.Able to walk prior to injury

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Bilateral femur fracture 2.Known deformity of contralateral femur 3.History of femur fracture 4.Periprosthetic fracture 5.Patient that cannot follow up 6.Patient refuse to participate in study

MeasureTime frame
rotational side-to-side difference after surgery within the same hospital stay using the CT axial cut of whole femur and measure the angle between neck of femur and posterior condylar axis then use the difference between two side of femur,Acceptable side-to-side rotational alignment, after surgery within the same hospital stay side-to-side angle that is less than 8 degree is consider acceptable then it is calculate in to percentage for each group,Coronal side-to-side difference after surgery within the same hospital stay using the film knee AP, measuring the angle between joint line and femur shaft and compare then angle between normal and surgery side,Acceptable side-to-side coronal alignment after surgery within the same hospital stay side-to-side angle that is less than 8 degree is consider acceptable then it is calculate in to percentage for each group

MeasureTime frame
range of motion flexion and extension 12 weeks after surgery measuring the range of motion in degree of the injured leg,Lower extremities functional score 12 weeks after surgery using the questionnaire to measure the functional outcome of the patient after surgery
