Conditions

Hip fractures are a common reason for surgery in older individuals. Spinal anesthesia is widely used for these procedures, but it is frequently associated with intraoperative hypotension, which may result in severe complications. Elderly, Hip fracture, Hypotension, Spinal anesthesia

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. hip fracture surgery under spinal anesthesia 2. age >/= 80 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. pre-existing hypotension and/ or vasoactive agent use 2. failed or inadequate block 3. requiring heavy sedation 4. incomplete records
