Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who underwent upper esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) with gastric biopsy for dyspepsia diagnosis at Chiang Mai University Hospital, Thailand, between June 2012 and May 2017. 2. No cancer diagnosis within one year following their endoscopic examination. 3. Follow-up period exceeding one year, with data collection continuing until December 31, 2023.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Absence of gastric mucosal biopsy. 2. History of peptic ulcer disease. 3. Previous gastroduodenal surgery. 4. Prior H. pylori eradication therapy. 5. Presence of chronic systemic illnesses requiring long-term medication, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease. 6. Any prior cancer diagnosis.
