Interventions

A. Definitive HRS: Defined by fulfilling the criteria for the diagnosis of HRS as per the ICA-AKI criteria, including the following: 1) Cirrhosis
acute liver failure
acute-on-chronic liver failure 2) Increase in serum creatinine at least 0.3 mg/dl within 48 h or at least 50% from baseline value according to ICA consensus document and/or Urinary output below than 0

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age over 20-year-old 2. Cirrhotic patient who developed AKI during hospitalization

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Chronic kidney disease stage 4-5 2. Previous liver or kidney transplantation 3. Heart failure with reduced ejection fraction 4. No sufficient data record for the calculation of FeNa

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Etiology and severity of AKI, mortality, kidney death requiring renal replacement therapy upon admission. Until patient discharge from hospital AKI staging, Serum chemistry (BUN, Cr, Electrolyte), Urine Electrolyte, fractional excretion of sodium (FENa) and urea (FEUrea), urine output, urinalysis

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Length of stay, and time to diagnose AKI etiology. Until patient discharge from hospital Date of admission and date developing AKI
