Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-60 years 2. Prediabetes defined as having fasting plasma glucose between 100 and 125 mg/dl

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed of diabetes or use of oral hypoglycemic agents 2. Use of vitamins or other antioxidant supplements within the past 6 months 3. Uncontrolled hypertension 4. Diagnosed or previous history of cardiovascular disease 5. Renal insufficiency 6. Pregnancy or breast feeding
