Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Age >18-year-old 2. Pathological diagnosis of HNSCC, including subsites of oral cavity, nasal cavity, nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx (Supraglottis, Glottis, Subglottis) and face 3. Admitted for neck dissection surgery of one or more neck node level from level Ia, Ib, II, III, IV, and V 4. Preoperative evaluation must include either CT or MRI of the associated region 5. No distant metastasis
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Previous head and neck irradiation or chemotherapy 2. Previous deep neck surgery on the ipsilateral side, defined as any neck surgery beyond subplatysmal plane 3. Any concurrent HNSCC 4. Contraindicated to surgical management making neck dissection surgery not possible in the admission or switch to palliative aimed treatment 5. Not willing to give informed consent
