Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Newly diagnosed patients with advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma aged 18 years or older 1. No history of other cancers, or has been cancer-free for more than 5 years 1. Originally from and currently residing in Northeastern Thailand
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma (cHCC-CCA) 2 Use of medications or products that affect gut microbiota within 14 days, such as antibiotics, proton pump inhibitors, probiotics, or ursodeoxycholic acid 3. Individuals with specific dietary behaviors, such as strict vegetarianism, veganism, or intermittent fasting 4. Inability to collect stool samples or provide adequate sample volume for analysis
