Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. adult patients 18 years old with shock admitted to the intensive care unit 2. Shock is defined as mean arterial BP less than 65 mmHg and hyperlactatemia more than 2.0 mmol/L
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Heart block (second-degree AV block) 2.Valvular heart disease 3.Aortic regurgitation (moderate to severe) 4.Prosthetic heart valve 5.on cardiac pacemaker 6. End stage of life 7. Pregnancy
