Correction of severe vitamin D deficiency 10ng/mL and less in the treatment group of 60 participants (oral tablet of vitamin D 50000 IU for 8 weeks followed by a maintenance dose of 1000 IU/day for 16

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Severe serum vitamin D deficiency and vitamin D sufficiency 2. Aged 30 years and above 3. No history of CVD except for hypertension 4. No treatment except for hypertension 5. Accepted to participate and sign the consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Chronic or acute illness 2. Pregnant and breast-feeding women
