Interventions

Serum high-sensitivity troponin T in addition to usual peri-operative care. Troponin level will guided the management before going to non-cardiac surgery. Patients with elevated values will undergo a

20 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age more than 20 years 2.The presence of CV risk as one of the following: a. Patient age more 65 years b. Patients with established cardiovascular disease (CVD) including, coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, valvular heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, aortic disease, peripheral artery disease c. Patients with one of the following cardiovascular factors: hypertension, current smoking, dyslipidemia, diabetes mellitus, family history of CVD.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Emergency surgery (operation operate within 24 hours) 2. Patient with active cardiac condition, including unstable angina, recent myocardial infarction within 3 months, recent unstable arrhythmias, active heart failure within 3 months 3. Recent stroke within 3 months
