Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged 2-15 years who had been diagnosed by a physician with moderate-to-severe persistent allergic rhinitis that was uncontrolled. 2. These participants have been previously treated with intranasal corticosteroids, antihistamines, and montelukast for at least 2 weeks at standard doses of treatment but have not been able to control their allergic rhinitis symptoms (Visual Analogue Scale for allergic rhinitis > 50).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a history of allergy to corticosteroids (oral, inhaled, or intranasal). 2. Patients diagnosed with primary or secondary immunodeficiency or receiving immunosuppressant therapy. 3. Patients with upper respiratory tract infection within 2 weeks prior to treatment in this study. 4. Patients who had taken antibiotics within 4 weeks prior to treatment in this study. 5. Patients diagnosed with sinusitis, congenital heart disease, or ECG abnormalities or cardiac arrhythmias; patients with bone and joint disorders, pregnancy, psychiatric disorders, circulatory system diseases, metabolic syndrome, and obese patients. 6. Patients diagnosed with craniofacial abnormalities, neuromuscular diseases, gastroesophageal reflux disease, Down syndrome, bronchial malformations, cardiovascular diseases, and other chronic pulmonary diseases other than asthma. 7. Patients who had taken oral or inhaled corticosteroids in the past 4 weeks before being enrolled in this study. 8. Pediatric patients who are at risk for side effects from corticosteroids, such as those diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes mellitus, high intraocular pressure or glaucoma, cataracts, parasitic infections, chest X-ray results suspected of infectious pneumonia, found red blood cells in the stool, gastrointestinal diseases such as peptic ulcer disease or gastroesophageal reflux disease, or there is an infection in various systems of the body, such as fungus on the skin, nails, or in the mouth, skin disease from infection with the varicella virus.
