Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. children aged 5 to 12 years, 2. no nasal symptoms, such as rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, or loss of smell (phase 1 and 2), 3. symptoms of reduced smell or repaired cleft palate (phase 3)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. structural lesions in the nasal cavity, such as nasal polyps or sinonasal tumors, 2. a history of head trauma, 3. previous sinonasal surgery, 4. recent upper respiratory tract infection within the past week, 5. speech or language impairment.
