Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) age between 40-59 years 2) having been diagnosed with hypertension by a physician for at least six months and are treated with one or two types of antihypertensive drug 3) presenting a clinical SBP 140 mmHg or higher and/or a clinical DBP 90 mmHg or higher on the last visits 4) having a low (scores of 14-28) or moderate (scores of 28.01-42.01) level of health literacy assessed using the Health Literacy Scales (HLS) modified for persons with hypertension and translated into Thai by Ongkulna et al. (2022) 5) having smart phone 6) able to communicate, read, and write in Thai language 7) willing to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) having underlying diseases and comorbidity, including ischemic heart disease, heart failure, chronic kidney disease, cerebrovascular, atrial fibrillation disease, peripheral artery disease, and diabetes mellitus by check from medical record 2) being in crisis of hypertension (SBP180 mmHg or higher or an average clinical DBP 110 mmHg or higher).
