Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.maternal age > 18 years 2.gestational age (GA) between 37 and 42 weeks 3.singleton pregnancy 4.cephalic presentation 5.parity < 4, 6.estimated fetal weight < 4000 grams

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.twin pregnancy 2.non-cephalic presentation 3.preeclampsia 4.fetal anomalies detected via ultrasonography 5.pregnancy-induced hypertension 6.antepartum hemorrhage 7.history of bleeding disorders 8.intrauterine infection or inflammation 9.hemoglobin levels < 7 g/dl 10. amniotic fluid embolism
