Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) aged between 40 and 80 years, confirmed by a pulmonary function test (Spirometry) showing a Postbronchodilator Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1) / Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) ratio of less than 70%. 2.Volunteers must have stable vital signs on the day of testing, as follows: Systolic blood pressure should be between 90-160 mmHg. Heart rate should be between 50-140 beats per minute. The oxygen saturation (SpO2) at the fingertip should be more than 94% on room air, or if the volunteer is on long-term oxygen therapy, the oxygen saturation on the day of testing should not be less than 3% below the baseline level.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with 1.a history of hospitalization or treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) symptoms within the past 3 months, or 2.with a history of receiving steroids (both oral and intravenous) within the past 6 weeks. 3.Volunteers experiencing an exacerbation on the day of testing or having a respiratory rate greater than 24 breaths per minute. 4.Volunteers with a history of weakness in the face, arms, and muscles involved in respiration. Volunteers who are unable to use the Peak Inspiratory Flow measuring device (In-Check DIAL). 5.Volunteers who are unable to use the Handgrip Strength measuring device. Volunteers who breathe through a tracheostomy tube. 6.Volunteers who require invasive mechanical ventilation.
