Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: aged 18 to 40 years with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status 2, term singleton pregnancies, and scheduled for elective cesarean section under spinal anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included chronic hypertension, known cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease, body weight <50 kg, baseline systolic blood pressure (SBP) <100 mmHg, contraindications to the study drugs, or failed spinal anesthesia.
