Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants will be eligible for inclusion if they meet the following criteria: 1. Patients with indications for endothelial keratoplasty (EK) surgery, including EK with or without phacoemulsification. 2. Residents of Thailand. 3. Individuals aged 18 years and older who provide informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria will be applied during the screening and enrollment phase to ensure appropriate participant selection: 1. Poorly controlled diabetes mellitus 2. History of graft failure following a previous keratoplasty. 3. History of herpes simplex virus (HSV) keratitis or chronic ocular surface diseases (e.g., blepharitis, conjunctivitis, severe meibomian gland dysfunction, severe dry eye disease ). 4. History of any ocular surgery within the last three months 5. Use of contact lenses, topical antibiotics, or antiglaucoma eye drops within one month prior to sample collection.
