Conditions

Prolonged sitting and sedentary behavior, common among office workers (often referred to as Office Syndrome, OS), are significant risk factors for the development of non-specific low back pain (NSLBP). These issues may be related to key muscles of the back and hip, specifically the hip flexor (Psoas major, PM) and the quadratus lumborum (QL), which are deep muscles critical for movement and spinal support. Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both NSLBP and AC: 1) Male or female participants aged between 30-50 years. 2) Participants with moderate to vigorous physical activity levels, either classified as Inactive (less than 150 minutes of physical activity per week) or Active (more than 150 minutes of physical activity per week). 3)Must be able to lie on either their left or right side during ultrasound elastography assessment. NSLBP: 1) Individuals with prolonged office sitting behavior, meeting the following criteria: 1) sitting for at least 30 minutes continuously without standing during a workday, 2) working more than 6 hours or day and more than 30 hours per week for at least 3 consecutive months. 2) Participants experiencing pain localized between the lower ribs and the gluteal fold, either unilaterally or bilaterally, with a pain severity score of 3 or higher. 3)History of non-specific low back pain (NSLBP) without radiating pain to the legs, lasting for more than 3 years, with at least one period of pain remission lasting a minimum of 3 months prior to the current episode of low back pain. 4) An Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) score of 10% or higher, indicating physical disability in individuals with low back pain.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Athletes undergoing rigorous sports training exceeding 20 hours per week. 2. Presence of symptoms or signs indicative of serious underlying conditions (Red flags), such as unexplained night pain or unexplained weight loss. 3. Obesity, defined as a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30 kg/m. 4. Currently pregnant. 5. Low back pain caused by specific pathologies, including tumor, infection, inflammatory disorders, herniated disc, scoliosis, or prolapsed disc. 6. Signs of nerve compression, such as a positive Straight Leg Raise (SLR) test (less than 45 degrees), 7. unilateral leg muscle weakness, or diminished reflexes (less than 2). 8. Inability to lie on one side for at least 30 minutes. 9. History of lumbar spine surgery. 10. History of osteoporosis. 11. History of vertebral fractures.
