Interventions

All volunteers will undergo preoperative vocal assessment prior to thyroid surgery. The surgery is guided by the standard protocol for both thyroid lobectomy and total thyroid surgery. The procedure

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patient more 18 years old 2. Patients, who undergo total thyroidectomy or a lobectomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with preoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve disorder (Preoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy/paresis) 2. Patients who have been diagnosed with Extrathyroidal extension 3. Patients who are treated with neck dissection. 4. Have been irradiated in the throat area before 5. Have had an accident in the throat area before 6. Having had surgery in the neck area before 7. Other conditions of laryngeal and muscular diseases. such as Myasthenia gravis, cerebral vascular accident, Parkinson's disease , Vocal cord tumor and spasmodic dysphonia
