Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Reproductive age female (Age 13 - 45) 2) Heavy menstrual bleeding Defined by one of the following: a. Menstrual duration > 7 days (not including spot bleeding) b. Modified PBAC score > or = 100 c. Flooding 3) Duration of heavy menstrual bleeding > or = 6 months 4) Menstrual bleed > or = 3 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Known/identified chronic diseases (e.g., autoimmune, hepatic, renal) 2. Known bleeding disorders 3. Known gynecologic condition causing HMB 4. Intrauterine device use or removal within 2 months 5. Pregnancy 6. Cancer remission < 5 years 7. Currently taking antiplatelets or anticoagulants 8. Current NSAIDs use 9. Current herb use 10. Receiving hormonal treatment within 3 months of enrolment
