Participants receiving 6 mg of dexamethasone by intramuscular injection every 12 hours for 4 doses.,Participants receiving 5 mg of dexamethasone by intramuscular injection every 12 hours for 4 doses.,

Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 45 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18 years or more. 2. Singleton pregnancy. 3. Gestational age between 29+0 - 36+6 weeks. 4. Having a clinical diagnosis of preterm labor. 5. Willingness to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Having a history of dexamethasone receiving before 29 weeks of gestation. 2. Having a history of steroid allergy. 3. Having any signs or symptoms of infection at the time of enrollment. 4. Receiving insulin or any oral hypoglecemic agent treatment. 5. Being unavailability to undergoing ultrasound examination before the commencement of dexamethasone. 6. Delivery before receiving the four doses of dexamethasone.
