Conditions

People living with HIV need a broad and deep set of self-management skills, including complex medication management, appropriate monitoring of symptoms, and active participation in decision-making in treatment plans, with a clear understanding of the risks and benefits. As HIV/AIDS has become a chronic condition, it is crucial to have health education programs that teach people with HIV to be effective self-managers, capable of managing their symptoms efficiently.
