Interventions

The experimental group received CBT once a week for 8 consecutive weeks with weekly home visits. The CBT was divided into 3 steps: observation learning where participants explained their PA to assesso
self-regulation where participants were followed up by home visits once a week for 8 weeks to track their activities and participants shared the details of their activities with assessors
and self-efficiency where participants considered their current ability and improvements relying on evaluated outcomes as feedback.,The control group maintained their activities of daily living

Age
60 Years to 79 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients with hemiplegia/hemiparesis for or more than a year, 2. hemiplegia/hemiparesis with Brunnstrom motor recovery stage of at least 4, 3. able to walk with or without a walking aid, 4. at least 7/10 on the Abbreviation Mental Test, 5. have a constant state or well-controlled of co-morbidities, 6. able to communicate and follow instructions

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. clinical evidence of brainstem signs, 2. severe cognitive and/or language deficits or inability to follow instructions, 3. significant behavioral problems
