Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Male and female age 18-60 years old 2. Clinical and trichoscopic diagnosis of patch typed alopecia areata 3. Area of alopecia areata more than or equal to 1 area 4. Diameter of alopecia patch more than or equal to 2 cm. 5. Patient who voluntarily submitted written consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Receiving any treatment of alopecia areata in the past 6 months including topical, oral, injection, or LED light therapy 2. Having allergic reaction with component of microneedle patch 3. Previous history of syphilis infection 4. Having systemic infection or under systemic antibiotic therapy 5. Having liver diseases, including cirrhosis or liver cancer 6. Having kidney diseases, including renal failure or nephrotic syndrome 7. Having severe acute cardiovascular diseases, including heart failure, myocardial infarction, or stroke 8. Pregnancy or lactating women (screening by last menstrual period. If suspect, urine pregnancy test will be done) 9. Acute diffuse alopecia areata 10. Alopecia totalis, alopecia universalis 11. Ophiasis alopecia 12. Area of alopecia areata more than 50% of the scalp 13. Having bleeding tendency e.g. hemophilia or von Willebrand disease 14. People who are sensitive to light, have epilepsy, or use photo-sensitizing drug
