Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 7 years to less than 18 years 2. Diagnosed as transfusion-dependent thalassemia 3. Receive regular blood transfusion for at least 12 months or 10-17 times 4. Understand Thai language 5. Eligible to give information on food frequency questionnaire and record food diary
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Underwent bariatric surgery, or had short bowel syndrome 2. Consume probiotics containing Bifidobacteria, Lactococcus, Leuconostoc, Lactobacillus sanfranciscensis, Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain GG that can synthesize thiamin 3. Receive diuretic drugs from other conditions 4. Post a critical illness within 1 month 5. Chronic infection, or recent infection within 2 weeks 6. Other hematologic disease
