Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All children presented with stage II complicated pleural effusion/ empyema with age range of 6 months to 15 years, that fails to resolve by simple drainage by chest tube thoracotomy over 24 hours of admission.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Children having 1. Disseminated intravascular coagulation. 2. Volume overload. 3. Allergic/ hypersensitivity to streptokinase 4. Consent withdrawal.
