Interventions

In the intervention group, patients received face-to-face education sessions along with a family member who played a crucial role in the patient&#039
s care during hemodialysis. The patients were also provided with an educational package. Each patient in the intervention group received a total of four sessions, lasting 45 to 60 minutes each, with t
the second session covered medication treatments during hemodialysis
the third session addressed fluid intake restriction
and the fourth session provided diet-related training. ,In the control group, patients received only routine interventions provided by the department, which primarily consisted of educational pamphlet

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: inclusion criteria consisted of a diagnosis of chronic kidney failure, receiving hemodialysis treatment, age between 18 and 65 years, willingness to participate in the study, absence of other chronic conditions such as stroke, heart attack, and malignant tumors, no use of psychoactive substances, and absence of significant cognitive impairment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria included severe illness for any reason, discharge with personal consent or death, and undergoing any non-routine procedures.
