Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: For the inclusion criteria: age 18 years or older, complete data recording including: age, menopausal status, preoperative serum CA-125 levels, preoperative pelvic ultrasound imaging and report performed by an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN) or OB-GYN resident, no prior adnexal surgery, epithelial ovarian cancer cell type only (if pathology reveals ovarian cancer).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were any known malignancy, pregnant women, missing pathological report of adnexal tumor, incomplete data including poor sonography image quality.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Risk of ovarian cancer score (ROCS) after retrospective chart review all completed, then ROCS score can be generated via using logistic regression analysis Efficacy: Area under RUC curve, sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
subgroups 1. BOT vs benign tumors 2. BOT vs epithelial ovarian cancer 3. cancer stage I vs benign tumors 4. cancer stage II-IV vs benign tumors after ROCs score have been created, then subgroup analysis can be performed Efficacy: Area under ROC curve, sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV
