Counseling intervention with the patient with epilepsy in adherence with medication the knowledge of epilepsy, antiepileptic drugs and lifestyle, and how to first aid for patients with epilepsy.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients aged 18 years or older 2. Diagnosed with epilepsy by a physician 3. The patients had to receive antiepileptic drugs for at least 1 month and continue antiepileptic drugs for a minimum of 6 months 4. The patient had the ability to read and write the Lao language 5. The patient was agreeable to being the participant and willing to provide a written informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient who has co-morbid: cancer, psychiatric, or neurological diseases 2. Pregnancy patients 3. Mentally retarded patients who cannot give information
