Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients who were diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD) by DMS-5 criteria or ICD-10
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Current diagnoses of other psychiatric disorders, 2. A severe depressive episode with psychotic symptoms, 3. Neurological diseases (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc.), 4. Acute viral infection (HSV, VZV, CMV, etc.), 5. Autoimmune disease (rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, asthma, etc.), 6. Chronic diseases (cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc.) 7. Endocrine and metabolic diseases (Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, hypopituitarism, Addison disease, Cushing Syndrome) 8. Nutritional Disease (pellagra, pernicious anemia) 9. Hemophilia
