Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy patient or patient diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus with edentulous site with adequate bone dimensions for dental implant placement 2. The implant sites are required to have at least 4 months of healing post-extraction, with no previous ridge augmentation or bone grafting
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Systemic diseases that may affect wound healing 2. Cancer 3. Bone metabolic disease such as osteoporosis 4. Under treatment using bisphosphonate 5. Regular use of medications that could affect healing 6. Irradiation in head and neck area 7. Untreated periodontal disease 8. Smoking habit 9. Pregnancy or lactation, planned pregnancy 10. Immunocompromised or under immunosuppressive drug treatment 11. Addiction to alcohol or drugs 12. History of kidney stones 13. Abnormal sensitivity to vitamin D or hypervitaminosis D
