Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1. Body mass index < 33.0 kg/m2 2. Men and women aged 60 years and above 3. Cleared initial screening with Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone (PAR-Q+) 4. Have not participated in any exercise training programme of more than 150 min/week for a duration of 3 months in the past 6 months 5. Have not participated in any resistance training for more than 3 months in the past 6 months 6. Hand grip: <20 kg for men, <16 kg for women (Dodds et al., 2014) OR 5 rises chair stand: >15s for both men and women (Cesari et al., 2009) 7. Skeletal muscle index: <7.0 kg/m2 for men, <6.0 kg/m2 for women (Gould et al., 2014) 8. Physically-abled to participate in exercises
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria: 1. Smoking 2. Daily alcohol consumption 3. Have uncontrolled hypertension and/or diabetes mellitus 4. Have unstable coronary heart disease and/or wearing a pace-maker 5. Presented with major orthopaedic disability and pain 6. Presented with silent ischaemia from sub-maximal exercise screening 7. Diagnosed with any congestive heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, renal failure, neurological disorders 8. Currently taking daily protein supplement
