Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with chronic, unilateral, maxillary sinusitis according to the Rhino-sinusitis Task Force Criteria (RSTF) 28 due to a dental cause and who have 18 years or more. Inclusion criteria also included patients who failed FESS and patients with radiologic evidence of ipsilateral chronic maxillary sinusitis with multiple polyposis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with limited sinus involvement or with rhinosinusitis of non-dental origin, patients under 18 years, and patients with asthma or allergies. Moreover, patients with any systemic condition that affects healing such as diabetes mellitus, malignancies, blood dyscrasias, immune diseases, previous or concurrent radiotherapy or chemotherapy, smoking, etc were excluded along with patients with anatomical abnormalities of the nasal and/or para-nasal structures.
