Conditions

Clinical measurements of plaque index (PI), clinical attachment level (CAL), keratinized tissue width (KTW), recession depth (RD), recession width (RW), and gingival thickness (GT) were evaluated at baseline and 3 months postoperatively. A numeric rating scale (NRS) was also assessed. Gingival recession, pinhole technique, A-PRF, resorbable collagen membrane

Interventions

). A gingival elevator was inserted through the pinhole used for blunt dissection and raised a mucoperiosteal flap. The flap was then coronally and horizontally extended to allow the elevation of two

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: the presence of bilateral Miller Class I or II gingival recessions in both jaws, vital anterior teeth or premolars, an identifiable cemento-enamel junction (CEJ), gingival thickness of at least 1 mm for the recession area, and good periodontal health.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant or lactating females, those with fully restored tooth or mobility, those who have suffered cervical abrasion, caries, or abfraction, a history of prolonged antibiotic use, smokers, and khat chewing are all excluded.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Recession width (RW) and gingival thickness (GT). 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, one month, and three months RW measured from horizontal distance of the recession in the mesiodistal direction at CEJ. GT measured from the mid-point location between the gingival margin and MGJ using an endodontic file .

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
clinical attachment level (CAL), keratinized tissue width (KTW), and recession depth (RD) 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, one month, and three months CAL measured from the CEJ to the base of the pocket. KTW measured from the marginal gingiva to the MGJRD measured from the CEJ to the most apical point of the free margin.
