Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Female aged 18 years and older 2. Attend hysterectomy operation (both open and laparoscopic approach, both benign and malignancy disease cause) at OB-GYN unit, faculty of medicine Siriraj hospital
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Have any history of ginger or its ingredients allergy 2. Have conditions that contraindicated to ginger such as anti-platelet/anti-coagulant usage, gallbladder stone 3. Have fever or have signs of infection before operation 4. Have been diagnosed as bowel obstruction, GERD, chronic constipation, gastrointestinal ulcer 5. Have been exposed to radiation at abdominal or pelvic area 6. Pregnancy 7. Intraoperative adjacent organ injury that causes prolonged fasting time 8. Have serious post-operative complications 9. Cannot read or speak Thai language 10. Disability or have mental illness
