Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Children aged 1 month- 5 years, 2. Diagnosed as pneumonia by a respirology pediatric consultant, 3. Had obtained permission from their family to participate to the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Having taken vitamin D supplements 4 weeks before the study, 2. Children having received antibiotic more than 3 days before the study started, 3. Children with cyanotic congenital heart disease, kidney failure, and acute post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, 4. A history of allergy to vitamin D.
