Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria: BMI more than or equal 25 kg/m2 age 30 - 60 years old and diagnosed DM by using ADA criteria

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria excluded any of the followings such as a history of steroids used, hormonal drugs or weight loss pill used within 3 months, pregnancy or plan to become pregnant, history of cancer, HIV, active pulmonary TB, Hepatitis B or C, was admitted within 3 months, previous history of severe hypoglycemia within six months, bed-ridden, history of swallowing problem, GI surgery e.g. bariatric surgery, taking insulin injections in current treatment, glipizide dose > 15 mg/day, start taking SGLT2 or GLP-1 RA within one month, CKD stage IIIB-V, acute myocardial infarction or acute stroke within six months.
