During PD catheter insertion, the surgeon will perform catheter flushing with PD fluid 1 Liter. The appropriate function of the catheter is defined by the time for flow in is less than 10 minutes and

18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. End-stage kidney disease patient who is planning to insert peritoneal dialysis catheter at Siriraj hospital 2. Age equal to or more than 18 years old 3. Provide informed consent 4. The patient who plans to start PD at least two weeks after PD catheter insertion ( break-in period at least two weeks)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The patients who is suspected surgical complication after peritoneal dialysis insertion, including intraabdominal bleeding, bowel injury, or presenting of red color dialysate after intraoperative flushing 2. Allergy to heparin 3. The patient with an urgent condition needs a prompt start of peritoneal dialysis after PD catheter insertion. 4. The patient with a bleeding tendency (PT more than 1.5 times of UNL, PTT more than 1.5 times of UNL, or platelet less than 30000) 5. The patient who receiving anticoagulant for other conditions 7. The patient who had extensive intraabdominal adhesion from laparoscopic surgery finding
