-Octreotide was continuously given via intravenous route at rate of 50 microgram/hour for 1 day (24 hours)
-Observe for variceal rebleeding in 5 d

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: esophageal varices bleeding cirrhosis Age >20 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Non-cirrhosis Other source of bleeding Concomitant GV Failure to stop bleeding via endoscope U/D: HCC, advanced malignancy, septic shock Deny to participate
